The Future of College Football Wraps Up – UCF Concludes Their Final Spring Practice
UCF Football wraps up the final spring practices this week with the Spring Game on Saturday, April 10 marking and end to their spring season.
Over the last four weeks, Coach Malzahn and staff pushed the team with four practices each week. For the new coaching staff, each position as well as the entire team was essentially viewed as a blank canvas. It offered each player a level playing field to showcase their abilities and compete for a truer placement on the depth chart.
Consistently during the four weeks, the team displayed a strong progressive growth in play development and overall team chemistry. New offensive looks and route patterns were frequently observed along with a loose, competitive energy that was absent last season.
The Spring Game should provide a sample of new looks on both the offensive and defensive side of the ball. On offense, look for new passing routes especially to the tight ends and running backs who will also have more featured roles. Defensively, there will be an obvious focus on swarming to the ball as well as creative schemes from the linebacker and secondary positions.
The Spring Game will be held at The Bounce House Saturday, April 10 at noon. No tailgating will be permitted on campus. Tickets are available thru the UCF Ticketmaster website and parking will be on a first come first serve basis.
