Central Connecticut State vs Miami – Game Preview
Date: September 25th
Game Time: 12:30 ET
Venue: Hard Rock Stadium
Network:ESPN3
What to Look for from Miami:
The Hurricanes have had a tough 3 week stretch, going up against Alabama, Appalachian State, and Michigan State. This made for a less than ideal start to the season for Miami. A blowout loss to Alabama would be the expected outcome for most programs, but obviously expectations are much different at the U. The Mountaineers are no cakewalk, but a 2 point win against Appalachian State doesn’t sound great to the casual fan, and a 21 point home loss to Michigan State certainly does not. This game will be an opportunity for Miami to gather themselves after playing a very competitive opening schedule. All signs point to the Hurricanes jumping out to a quick lead, and keeping a high level of intensity throughout the game, sending a message to themselves, their opponents, and the fans. For a program like Miami, a game against an FCS opponent doesn’t seem to hold much weight, but a win is a win, and this is an opportunity for the Hurricanes to gain some momentum before going into ACC conference play.
What to Look for from Central Connecticut State:
The CCSU coaching staff has a tall task ahead of them – preparing for Miami after coming off a 56-10 loss to Southeastern Louisiana. Last week’s outcome is not a great sign of what’s to come for CCSU, going up against a Miami team with a chip on their shoulder. With that said, the Blue Devils have something to prove as well, and they will be coming down to Miami, hungry and ready to compete. If CCSU can put a fight against this talented Hurricanes team, it will be a great platform for recruiting and awareness across the country.
