Tulsa vs USF Game Preview
Date: October 16th
Game Time: 12:00 ET
Venue: Raymond James Stadium
Network: ESPNU
USF and Tulsa will face off this Saturday for the fifth time in their schools’ history. Their last matchup ended in a 42-13 Tulsa victory, but USF holds a 3-1 all time record in the series. Both teams are in similar position at this point in the season, having had solid games against tough opponents, as well as disappointing losses.Tulsa showed their team’s potential, competing with Ohio State and Oklahoma State. This game is an opportunity for them to continue to dominate in the run game, as they go up against a below average rushing defense. USF is coming off a rough loss to SMU, but had a solid performance against BYU on the road just two weeks ago. The Bulls showed they’re able to compete against good competition – now it’s about becoming more consistent. Any program going into a season with a second year head coach and a freshman quarterback is going to have it’s ups and downs. This game is a great opportunity for head coach, Jeff Scott, and freshman quarterback, Timmy McClain, to prove to the program and to the fan base that they’re heading in the right direction, despite this season’s challenges.
