Cincinnati Breaks UCF’s Heart In Final Seconds 73-71
UCF hosted Cincinnati on Sunday afternoon for their second meeting with the Bearcats this season. With the game tied up at 71, Cincinnati’s David DeJulius hit a last second floater, handing UCF their second loss to Cincinnati, as the Knights lost the previous meeting on February 4th, 73-64.
Despite the loss, UCF battled back and forth with Cincinnati, keeping the game within single digits throughout the entirety of the matchup. A common thread amongst the majority of the Knight’s losses remained evident in this game, as UCF was out rebounded 31-24.
In his second game back from a hand injury, Micheal Durr made a big impact on both ends of the court. Durr also led the team in scoring with 15 points.
Three other UCF players scored in double figures, as Ithiel Horton and Taylor Hendricks each scored 12 points and C.J. Kelly put up 11 points.
This is UCF’s second straight one-possession loss, following the 64-63 loss at Memphis on February 16th. With the loss, UCF falls to 7th in the AAC standings.
