USF Extends Win Streak Defeating UCF in War On I4
The USF women’s basketball team hosted UCF on Sunday afternoon for their first War on I-4 rivalry matchup in the 2022-23 season. The Bulls dominated from start to finish, leading to a 83-51 win over the Knights.
USF jumped out to a 15-2 lead in the first quarter and never looked back, with the Knights unable to come within single digits from then on.
The Bulls were able to turn defense into offense, scoring 22 points off turnovers, while outscoring UCF 21-0 in fast break points.
Four USF players scored in double figures. Senior guard, Elena Tsineke, led the way offensively with 21 points.
With the win, USF has won eight straight games, with their last lose dating back to December 20th to No. 2 Ohio State. The Bulls also improved their home record to 11-0 and their conference record to 7-0.
