UCF Falls Short to Ole Miss at Home, 70-68
UCF hosted undefeated Ole Miss on Sunday afternoon, for their final Power 5 matchup before heading into Big 12 Conference play. Despite a terrific performance from Darius Johnson, the Knights fell short to the Rebels, 70-68.
Johnson had a game high, 25 points, while shooting 9-16 from the field.
Shemarri Allen and Jaylen Sellers also scored in double figures, with Allen recording 14 points, and Sellers with 11 points.
UCF struggled from the free throw line and behind the arch. The Knights went 22-34 from the free throw line and shot 4-22 from three.
Despite the less than ideal shooting night, UCF was able to keep themselves in the game, but ultimately couldn’t get the job done. With the loss, UCF falls to 6-3 but proved they can contend with one of the better teams in the country at the moment.
