Joesph Leads Miami To Second Half Comeback Win Over Virginia Tech
Miami hosted Virginia Tech on Saturday afternoon at the Watsco Center. The Hurricanes erased a halftime deficit to beat the Hokies, 82-74.
Miami trailed by nine going into halftime but came out hot in the second half, scoring 56 points in the half. Bensley Joesph was a key contributor in the second half, coming off the bench to score all of his 14 points in the final half.
The Hurricanes were able to get to the line throughout the game, shooting 29 total free throws and making 27 of them.
Matthew Cleveland, one of Miami’s top scorers, returned to action against the Hokies. Cleveland was unable to play in the prior two games due to injury.
Cleveland made a huge impact in his return, recording his fifth double-double of the season, with 15 points and 13 rebounds.
Norchad Omier and Kyshawn George led the team with 16 points each. Nigel Pack scored in double-figures as well, with 14 points.
