UCF Football: Fall Camp Update
On Monday morning, UCF held another open practice for local media. For most of Fall camp, everyone’s eyes have been on UCF’s quarterback competition, and that was no different on Monday.
Throughout fall camp, coaches and players have been unified on the fact that there has been little separation thus far between sophomore quarterback, Mikey Keene, and senior transfer, John Rhys Plumlee. That seemed to be reiterated by their play on Monday morning, as both quarterbacks looked solid within the first 20 minutes of practice which was open to the media. Freshman quarterback, Thomas Castellanos had a solid day as well and continues to show great potential.
UCF’s defense looked good throughout the beginning of practice as well. Tre’Mon Morris-Brash brought great energy right from the start of team drills. Coaches and players continue to reiterate how well the defense has looked throughout camp. Team captains, Josh Celiscar and Jeremiah Jean-Baptiste have this defense trending in the right direction, and there’s no doubt they’ll be ready to go for week one.
