Indiana Pacers Select Isaiah Wong With 55th Overall Pick
Isaiah Wong, the ACC Player of the Year, was selected by the Indiana Pacers with the 55th Overall Pick of the second round of the NBA Draft on Thursday night.
Wong was an integral piece of Miami’s historic Final Four run, leading the team in scoring with 16.2 points per game. Wong and his former teammate, Jordan Miller, who was selected 48th overall, are the first Hurricanes to be selected in the NBA Draft since Dewan Hernandez in 2019.
Wong and Miller are also the first Hurricanes’ teammates to be drafted in the same year since Bruce Brown and Lonnie Walker in 2018. Both Brown and Walker made headlines throughout this years’ NBA Playoffs.
Given that Wong plays, Hurricanes’ fans will be able to watch him take the floor again on July 8th, for the Indiana Pacers’ first NBA Summer League game.
