Miami’s Second Half Surge Not Enough to Get Past NC State
Miami traveled to Raleigh, North Carolina to take on NC State on Tuesday night. Despite an incredible second half performance from Nigel Pack, the Hurricanes came up short, losing 74-68 to the Wolfpack.
The Hurricanes scored 39 points in the second half – Nigel Pack had over half of them. Pack scored all 23 of his points in the second half. He put up just one shot in the first half, but went 7-13 from the field in the second half.
Norchad Omier and Wooga Poplar each recorded a double-double, the fourth in a row for Omier, and the second of the season for Poplar. Omier scored 18 points, while grabbing a game-high 14 rebounds. Poplar put up 10 points with 10 rebounds.
The Hurricanes were without their second leading scorer, Matthew Cleveland, for the second straight game. Cleveland is recovering from a hip injury after the Hurricanes’ win over Notre Dame.
